Jay Bruce (hamstring) still out for Phillies in front end of Wednesday's doubleheader
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Jay Bruce (hamstring) remains out of the starting lineup for the first half of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Nationals.
It's Bruce's fourth consecutive absence due to a left hamstring injury, though it's possible he returns for Game 2 Wednesday night in Washington. Sean Rodriguez is playing left field again and batting sixth in the matinee versus Nationals left-hander Patrick Corbin.
Bruce has gone 12-for-39 (.308) with 5 home runs, 2 doubles, 13 RBI, and 9 runs scored in 11 games for the Phillies.
