Joey Votto resting Wednesday for Reds
Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto is not starting in Wednesday afternoon's series finale versus right-hander Gerrit Cole and the Houston Astros.
It looks like a routine breather for Votto, who hit a pair of doubles and scored a run in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Astros. Derek Dietrich is in charge of first base Wednesday for Cincinnati. Jose Peraza is on second. Jose Iglesias is back at shortstop from paternity leave.
numberFire's models expect Votto to record 7 homers, 35 RBI, and 39 runs scored over the rest of the season.
