Mets' Brandon Nimmo (neck) shut down for next month
New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (neck) will be shut down completely from baseball activities for the next month.
Nimmo has been dealing with a bulging cervical disc since April and was placed on the injured list May 22. It sounds like he will remain out until at least August.
Nimmo was batting .200 with a .667 OPS before landing on the shelf. He has 3 home runs, 7 doubles, 14 RBI, and 20 runs scored over 161 plate appearances.
