Jesse Winker on Reds' bench in Monday's opener
Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jesse Winker is not starting in Monday's series opener versus left-hander Wade Miley and the Houston Astros.
Winker finished a triple shy of the cycle in Sunday's 11-3 win over the Texas Rangers, going 4-for-5 with a 2-run home run, a double, and 5 RBI. He's slashing .244/.320/.454 with 11 home runs, 10 doubles, 23 RBI, and 31 runs scored through 228 plate appearances this season. Nick Senzel is replacing Winker in center field on Monday after missing Sunday's game with an eye issue.
numberFire's models expect Winker to record 8 homers, 30 RBI, and 28 runs scored over the rest of the season.
