David Fletcher (shoulder) scratched from Angels' Thursday lineup, Wilfredo Tovar enters
Los Angeles Angels infielder David Fletcher has been scratched from the lineup due to a sore left shoulder in the team's game against the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday night.
Fletcher was originally slated to bat leadoff and play shortstop, but now, third baseman Tommy La Stella will hit first in the order against Rays starter Ryan Yarbrough. Wilfredo Tovar, taking over for Fletcher at shortstop, will bat eighth.
In 240 plate appearances this season, Fletcher has 23 RBI, a .308 batting average and a .797 OPS.
