Nick Ahmed (foot) absent from Arizona's lineup Monday
Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop Nick Ahmed (foot) is not starting in Monday's series opener versus right-hander Jerad Eickhoff and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Ahmed was lifted from Sunday's win over the Toronto Blue Jays due to left foot soreness. It sounds like a day-to-day concern. Ketel Marte is covering shortstop Monday night in Philadelphia and batting second.
numberFire's models expect Ahmed to record 5 homers, 23 RBI, 25 runs scored, and 4 steals over the rest of the season.
