Alex Reyes (finger) could join Cardinals' rotation next weekend
St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Alex Reyes could join the rotation next weekend, manager Mike Shildt indicated Sunday.
Shildt said he "wouldn't rule it out" Sunday when discussing a potential promotion for Reyes, who is making a rehab start for Triple-A Memphis on Sunday. The 24-year-old right-hander suffered a fractured pinkie in April by punching a wall.
Reyes allowed 5 runs over 3 innings in four relief appearances for the Cardinals this season.
