Astros' Jose Altuve pulled from rehab due to knee problems
Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve has been pulled off his minor league rehab assignment due to "fatigue and soreness" around his surgically-repaired right knee.
Altuve underwent knee surgery last October. He was nearing a return from a left hamstring strain, but then the stud second baseman felt renewed knee discomfort after playing in his second minor league rehab game at Triple-A Round Rock on Monday. There should be an update within the next day or so.
Altuve owns a .243/.329/.472 batting line with 9 homers, 6 doubles, 21 RBI, 21 runs scored, and a steal in 164 plate appearances this season.
