Chicago Cubs infielder David Bote is not in the lineup on Friday in the team's game against the Cincinnati Reds.
Bote is being replaced at third base by Kris Bryant against Reds starter Anthony DeSclafani.
In 139 plate appearances this season, Bote has 17 RBI, a .248 batting average and a .743 OPS.
