Boston Red Sox catcher Sandy Leon will not start against the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday.
Leon will head to the bench this afternoon with Christian Vazquez catching, Mookie Betts handling designated hitting duties and Steve Pearce in left field.
In 38 at-bats this season, Leon is hitting .184 with one home run and five RBI.
