Washington Nationals pitcher Kyle McGowin will start in Friday's matchup against the Miami Marlins.
McGowin will make his first major league start this season with Jeremy Hellickson and Anibal Sanchez dealing with injuries. In eight Triple-A starts, McGowin produced a 4.32 ERA and 50 strikeouts in 41.2 innings pitched.
In three innings pitched this season, McGowin has produced a 6.00 ERA and three strikeouts.
