Tyler Lyons recalled for doubleheader
The Cardinals recalled southpaw Tyler Lyons from Triple-A Memphis to serve as the 26th man in their doubleheader, making a spot start against the Cubs in the day portion of the day-night doubleheader.
Lyons has a 5.09 ERA in five starts for the Cards this year, but has a remarkably different 2.83 xFIP, suggesting that his ERA is far away from the level he's actually pitched at. With that said, righties have a .349 wOBA and three home runs against him in those five starts, and the Cubs have plenty of dangerous right-handed hitters, so he's not a recommended fantasy option.
