Brandon Nimmo (neck) scratched for Mets Tuesday, Juan Lagares draws start
New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo has been scratched from Tuesday's lineup against the Washington Nationals due to a stiff neck.
Nimmo has had neck problems in the past, so it's something to keep an eye on. Juan Lagares is now starting in center field and batting eighth versus Nationals right-hander Erick Fedde. Jeff McNeil is in the leadoff spot and Amed Rosario is hitting second.
Nimmo is batting .200/.344/.323 with 3 homers, 7 doubles, 14 RBI, and 20 runs scored in 161 plate appearances this season.
