Padres option Nick Margevicius to Double-A on Sunday
San Diego Padres pitcher Nick Margevicius was sent down to Double-A on Sunday.
What It Means:
Margevicius will pitch in the minors after allowing six runs in Saturday's start against Pittsburgh. The Padres will replace his rotation spot with Cal Quantrill going forward.
In 45.1 innings pitched this season, Margevicius produced a 4.96 ERA and 33 strikeouts.
