The Chicago Cubs recalled right-handed pitcher Dallas Beeler from Triple-A Iowa to serve as the 26th man and second starting pitcher in their day-night doubleheader against the Cardinals.
Beeler has a 6.33 ERA in 58 innings of work this season in the minors so he is far from fantasy consideration. In fact, consider using as many Cardinals bats as you can during the night slate of games against the 26 year-old. Rule of thumb: usually when you can't get it done in Triple-A, you aren't good enough to pitch in the major leagues.
