Rangers, Justin Ruggiano do one-year, $1.65 million deal
The Texas Rangers signed outfielder Justin Ruggiano to a one-year, $1.65 million contract.
Ruggiano will serve as outfield depth for the Rangers and a solid bat off of the bench. He played all three outfield positions this past season between time with the Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Dodgers.
Ruggiano saw just 141 plate appearances this season, but posted a solid .349 wOBA with 6 home runs and 5 stolen bases. His Isolated Power was .224, and while 141 plate appearances is a tiny sample size, it shows Ruggiano has some pop in his bat.
