Chicago Cubs second baseman Addison Russell is not starting in Thursday's series finale versus right-hander Luis Castillo and the Cincinnati Reds.
Russell went 2-for-4 and left the yard for the first time this season in a loss to the Reds on Wednesday. He drove in a pair of runs and crossed home plate twice on his own. Daniel Descalso is starting at second base on Thursday.
numberFire's models expect Russell to record 5 homers, 24 RBI, and 24 runs scored over the rest of the season.
