Chicago White Sox pitcher Carlos Rodon (elbow) will undergo Tommy John surgery this week.
Tough blow for Rodon and the White Sox as the surgery will keep the pitcher out of action until the second half of the 2020 season at the earliest.
Rodon posted a 5.19 ERA and 1.44 WHIP with 46 strikeouts and 17 walks in 34 2/3 innings pitched this season.
