Jonathan Loaisiga lands on Yankees' injured list with shoulder strain
The New York Yankees placed pitcher Jonathan Loaisiga on the injured list, retroactive to May 10, with a right shoulder strain.
Luis Cessa is starting Monday's series opener versus the Baltimore Orioles in place of Loaisiga. It's not clear how much time the 24-year-old right-hander will miss. The Yankees recalled right-hander Chance Adams from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in a corresponding roster move.
Loaisiga owns a 4.50 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with 13 strikeouts and 8 walks across 14 innings this season (four games, three starts).
