Ben Zobrist scratched from Cubs' Tuesday lineup, Kyle Schwarber taking over
Chicago Cubs infielder/outfielder Ben Zobrist is not in the lineup on Tuesday in the team's game against the Miami Marlins.
What It Means:
Zobrist was originally slated to start in left field and bat eighth in the order against Marlins starter Caleb Smith, but he's been removed from the lineup less than 90 minutes before first pitch. Now, Kyle Schwarber will take over in left field while batting eighth in the order.
In 99 plate appearances this season, Zobrist has a .241 batting average and a .596 OPS.
