Anthony Rendon (elbow) could return Tuesday for Nationals
Washington Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon (elbow) took batting practice Saturday and could be activated from the injured list when first eligible on Tuesday, per Nationals manager Dave Martinez.
Rendon has made just one appearance since April 20 due to a left elbow contusion. Howie Kendrick has handled most of the starts at the hot corner in place of Rendon.
Rendon is batting .356/.442/.740 with a 1.182 OPS through 86 plate appearances this season. He has 6 homers, 10 doubles, 18 RBI, and 21 runs scored.
