Roman Quinn (groin) sidelined Thursday for Philadelphia

Philadelphia Phillies center fielder Roman Quinn (right groin strain) is not starting in Thursday's series opener against left-hander Caleb Smith and the Miami Marlins.

What It Means:

Quinn was lifted from Wednesday's win over the New York Mets with the groin injury. He was just activated from the injured last last week due to an oblique injury. Aaron Altherr is starting in center field Thursday and batting eighth.

Quinn is 3-for-25 (.120) with 14 strikeouts this season.
