Joey Wendle fractures wrist in Rays' loss
Tampa Bay Rays infielder Joey Wendle suffered a fractured right wrist when he was hit by a pitch during Wednesday's 10-2 loss to the Kansas City Royals.
What It Means:
Wendle went down in the sixth inning, just days after returning from a multi-week absence due to a hamstring injury. It appears he's now headed for another lengthy stay on the shelf.
Wendle is 1-for-20 (.050) with 6 strikeouts this season.
