Washington Nationals Anthony Rendon (elbow) remains out of the lineup on Monday versus the Colorado Rockies.
It's a second straight absence for Rendon after being hit by a pitch on Saturday. Howie Kendrick is starting at third base again and batting out of the cleanup spot versus Rockies left-hander Tyler Anderson.
Rendon is batting a robust .371/.451/.771 with 6 home runs, 10 doubles, 18 RBI, and 21 runs scored through 82 plate appearances this season.
