Chicago White Sox infielder Tim Anderson has been suspended one game by the MLB for his altercation on Wednesday against the Kansas City Royals.
Anderson was hit by a pitch for celebrating a home run, and the ensuing altercation wound up with the shortstop receiving a one-game suspension. He will miss Friday's game, being replaced by Leury Garcia.
In 66 plate appearances this season, Anderson has four home runs, 12 RBI, a .422 batting average and a 1.096 OPS.
