Braves send Sean Newcomb to Triple-A, Touki Toussaint will join rotation
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Sean Newcomb was optioned to Triple-A on Saturday after failing to get through two innings.
What It Means:
Newcomb will pitch in the minors after struggling mightily in three starts this season. Expect Touki Toussaint to stay in the rotation until Newcomb can work through his command issues.
In 12.1 innings pitched, Newcomb produced a 4.38 ERA and 5 strikeouts.
