The Chicago White Sox optioned Ryan Cordell to Triple-A Charlotte.
Cordell went 1-for-4 with an RBI double and 3 strikeouts in Sunday's loss to the Seattle Mariners. He was 2-for-6 (.333) with a home run, the double, and 3 RBI to start the year, but the White Sox needed to create a spot on the roster for Carson Fulmer.
Cordell owns a career .140/.152/.326 slash in the majors with 2 homers, 2 doubles, 7 RBI, and 4 runs scored across 64 plate appearances.
