Indians' Francisco Lindor suffers left ankle sprain
Cleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor suffered a left ankle sprain while running the bases in a minor league game Tuesday.
The timing is brutal, as Lindor had almost completely worked his way back from a February right calf strain. He's now out indefinitely. Eric Stamets is expected to fill in at shortstop while Lindor is out.
Prior to this announcement, numberFire's models expected Lindor to bat .284 with 31 home runs, 91 RBI, 110 runs scored, and 22 steals in 2019.
