Diamondbacks' Steven Souza undergoing MRI on knee
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Steven Souza is undergoing an MRI on his left knee on Tuesday, general manager Mike Hazen said.
Souza suffered what appeared to be a significant injury when he stumbled while crossing home plate during Monday's game against the Chicago White Sox. Hazen said Ildemaro Vargas is the most likely option to replace Souza on the roster.
Before the injury, our models had Souza projected for 18 homers, 10 steals, 58 runs scored, and a .239 batting average in 527 plate appearances this season.
