Kyle Freeland will be Rockies' Opening Day starter
Colorado Rockies pitcher Kyle Freeland will start in Thursday's game against the Miami Marlins.
Freeland will officially be the Rockies' Opening Day starter after manager Bud Black picked the left-hander to pitch against the Marlins. Look for the 25-year old to build off a successful 2018 season where he went 17-7 with a 2.85 ERA despite pitching at Coors Field.
For the 2019 regular season, our models project Freeland to produce a 4.05 ERA with 150 strikeouts in 184.5 innings pitched.
