White Sox choose Alex Colome to close
Chicago White Sox reliever Alex Colome will be the club's closer, manager Rick Renteria announced.
Colome has looked like the favorite to win the job over Kelvin Herrera for the past couple months. The 30-year-old right-hander was a winter acquisition from the Seattle Mariners.
numberFire's models expect Colome to record a 3.18 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 69 strikeouts and 20 walks while converting 15 saves over 65 innings this season.
