Washington Nationals outfielder Michael Taylor suffered a sprained left knee and left hip and will "miss a significant amount of time" per manager Dave Martinez.
Taylor suffered the injuries on Thursday as he fell hard after making a diving catch. No word on how long he is expected out but his absence thins out an already depleted Nats' outfield depth. Juan Soto, Adam Eaton, and Victor Robles are the expected starters.
Our models had Taylor projected for 8 homers, 14 steals, 40 runs scored and a .235 batting average in 328 plate appearances in 2019 before the injury.
