Mike Foltynewicz (elbow) may be out for Braves until late April
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Mike Foltynewicz (elbow) is unlikely to pitch during the Braves' April 11-18 homestand, according to Mark Bowman of MLB.com.
What It Means:
Bowman, who previously surmised Foltynewicz could debut during the Braves' second homestand, now believes that expectation "is starting to seem optimistic." The 27-year-old right-hander's elbow has felt fine while playing catch, but he's not expected to make another Grapefruit League start.
