Dallas Keuchel throws 80 pitches against live hitters
Free agent starter Dallas Keuchel threw 80 pitches against live hitters on Wednesday at the Boras Sports Training Institute in California.
Keuchel is "going through a full spring training," according to agent Scott Boras. The 31-year-old left-hander is the top remaining starting pitcher on the open market. The Houston Astros have reportedly made multiple short-term offers to bring Keuchel back. He's been with the organization for his entire career since they drafted him in 2009.
Keuchel recorded a 3.74 ERA and 1.31 WHIP with 153 strikeouts and 58 walks across 204 2/3 innings last season.
