Houston Astros starting pitcher Josh James (quad) is scheduled to make his Grapefruit League debut this Saturday.
James is expected to throw 1-2 innings of relief. He strained his quad late last month and it cost him a chance at the fifth spot in the Astros' rotation. The 26-year-old right-hander could still make the Opening Day roster and eventually work his way into a starting role.
numberFire's models expect James to record a 4.00 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with 123 strikeouts across 103 2/3 innings in this season.
