Dodgers' Corey Seager (elbow) plays shortstop in minor league game
Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager (elbow, hip) played three innings in a minor league game on Thursday.
Seager only had one ball hit to him, an infield single that he didn't have a play on, but the shortstop still made the throw to first base "just to kind of check that off." He made a pair of at-bats and struck out in both. Seager is recovering from Tommy John and hip surgery, so the Dodgers have been easing him along. He turns 25 next month.
numberFire's models project Seager for a .288 batting average with 22 home runs, 79 RBI, 88 runs scored, and 2 steals in 610 plate appearances this season.
