Kansas City Royals pitcher Brad Keller will start on Opening Day, manager Ned Yost said.
Keller wound up being a surprisingly solid piece in the Royals' rotation last season, spinning a 3.08 ERA and 1.30 WHIP with 96 strikeouts and 50 walks across 140 1/3 innings in 41 appearances (20 starts). The right-hander will be 24 in July.
numberFire's models expect Keller to record a 3.83 ERA and 1.41 WHIP with 105 strikeouts and 57 walks in 2019.
