Jose Altuve (side) to sit out for Astros until next weekend
Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve (side) won't return to Grapefruit League action until at least next weekend.
What It Means:
Altuve was scratched on Thursday and Saturday due to soreness in his left side, so the Astros want to let the issue subside before Opening Day. "We feel very good about the fact this is a minor issue," manager A.J. Hinch said. "We are going to sit him for a few days and do no activity just to make sure. He’s doing fine, his spirits are up, he’s Jose Altuve. He’ll recover fine."
