Angels, Dodgers expressing interest in free agent Chase Utley
Free agent second baseman Chase Utley is drawing interest from the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Angels, per ESPN's Jayson Stark.
Other teams are reportedly interested, as well, but Stark was told by a friend of Utley that the native of Pasadena would like stay in California.
Utley had a disastrous season, posting a -0.97 nERD, which ranked 355th, in 107 games between the Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies. Among hitters with at least 400 plate appearances, Utley's .274 wOBA ranked 14th worst. He started showing signs of life in August, posting a .385 wOBA, but then saw this number drop to .293 for September and October.
