The Washington Nationals have signed free-agent pitcher Patrick Corbin to a six-year, $140M deal on Tuesday.
Corbin was the big name pitcher available on the free agent market and the Nationals opened up their checkbook to sign the former Arizona Diamondback. The two-time All-Star gives the Nats a strong top-three in their rotation, joining Max Scherzer and Stephen Strasburg.
Corbin posted a 3.15 ERA and 1.05 WHIP while striking out 246 in 200 innings with Arizona in 2018.
