The Cleveland Indians signed reliever Joba Chamberlain to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
After recent stops with the Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Royals, Chamberlain will stay in the American League Central. He will be given an attempt to win a bullpen job in the spring in his age-30 season.
Chamberlain posted a 4.88 ERA and 23 strikeouts to 9 walks over a small sample size of 27.2 innings at the major league level this past season.
