Brett Gardner on Yankees' bench in Wednesday's one-game playoff
New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner is out of the starting lineup in Wednesday's Wild Card Game against the Oakland Athletics.
Gardner will be available off the bench. He had been in the starting lineup for the Yankees' last 16 postseason games, as well as seven of the last eight games of the regular season. Andrew McCutchen will replace Gardner in left field and at the top of the order.
Gardner averaged 9.7 FanDuel points in 140 games during the regular season, having slashed .236/.322/.368 with 12 home runs, 45 RBI, 95 runs scored, 16 steals across 609 plate appearances.
