Hyun-Jin Ryu will start in the Dodgers' playoff opener
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu will start Game 1 of the National League Division Series on Thursday against the Atlanta Braves.
Early reports said Clayton Kershaw would get the start, but the future Hall of Famer will be on the hill in Game 2 instead.
Ryu had a 1.97 ERA, 3.00 FIP and 3.11 xFIP in 82 1/3 innings this year. The Braves were third in MLB in wRC+ against lefties this season (107), so it will not be the easiest of matchups for the southpaw.
