Khris Davis on Athletics' bench against Mariners
Oakland Athletics designated hitter Khris Davis is out of Tuesday's starting lineup against the Seattle Mariners.
Davis went 1-for-5 with a solo bomb in a 7-3 victory over the Mariners on Monday but he will rest Tuesday now that the Athletics are locked into a playoff spot. Jed Lowrie will fill in as Oakland's DH Tuesday, opening a start on second base and a spot in the eight-hole for Chad Pinder. Mike Leake will toe the rubber for Seattle.
Davis is averaging 12.6 FanDuel points per game this season, while slashing .249/.326/.547 with 46 home runs, 120 RBI, and 95 runs scored across 638 plate appearances.
