New York Yankees infielder Gleyber Torres (foot) has been removed from the lineup on Tuesday.
The Yankees initially penciled in Torres to start at shortstop but will give the infielder the day off instead after being hit by a pitch in the foot on Monday. Adeiny Hechavarria will start at shortstop in Torres' place on Tuesday.
Torres is batting .276 with 23 homers and a .356 wOBA in 465 plate appearances this season.
