4 FanDuel MLB Stacks for 8/9/16
The Milwaukee Brewers' post-deadline offense is less intriguing, but a great matchup puts them back on our stacking radar. What other offense should we target in MLB DFS?

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Premium members can use our new stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. You can also check out our hitting heat map, which provides an illustration of which offenses have the best combination of matchup and potency.

Now, let's get to the stacks. Here are the teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.

Milwaukee Brewers

With Jonathan Lucroy in Texas, there isn't a whole lot left to get you excited on the Milwaukee Brewers' roster. It just doesn't matter in this matchup. With how Tyrell Jenkins has fared thus far in the majors, we need to stack against him regardless of the opponent's talent level.

We've now got a 35 1/3-inning sample on Jenkins as a big-leaguer, and they have not been great, Bob. He was walked 24 batters while striking out just 17 with a 34.2% hard-hit rate, putting his SIERA at a hefty 6.33. He had struggled to get strikeouts all throughout the minors, as well, so these bumps really shouldn't be a shock, giving us a bit extra confidence in a slightly-depleted roster.

Chris Carter's always on our radar against low-strikeout pitchers, but we should probably add Keon Broxton into that same realm. He's chilling with a 39.5% strikeout rate in 119 plate appearances this year, but when he puts that ball in play, there's a good chance it'll be a banger.

His hard-hit rate is 37.0%, and he had a .275 ISO in 199 Triple-A plate appearances this year. Even though Broxton's risky, his upside in a park and matchup like this is at least intriguing.
