4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 4/27/16

Adam Wainwright has been struggling to start 2016, and the Arizona Diamondbacks have the bats to exploit it.

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Premium members can use our new stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. You can also check out our hitting heat map, which provides an illustration of which offenses have the best combination of matchup and potency.

Now, let's get to the stacks. As always, we will not be including the game at Coors Field in these recommendations. You all already know that you need exposure when there's a game there, and you don't need me to tell you that. Here are the other teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.

Arizona Diamondbacks

It should generally be a glaring red flag when a right-handed pitcher manages to only strikeout two batters against the San Diego Padres. That's what Adam Wainwright mustered his last time out for the St. Louis Cardinals, and there needs to be some level of concern.

Wainwright has made four starts this year, and he has only had more than two strikeouts once. His strikeout rate is 8.7%, which is actually lower than his 9.6% walk rate. The most troubling part is that three of those four starts have come against the teams ranked 28th, 29th, and 30th in wRC+ against righties. The Arizona Diamondbacks are 17th in that category, and they have a delightful park factor. Wainwright's going to need to right the ship quickly.

Jake Lamb has found himself batting second on a regular basis recently against righties, and that should get you giddy for this matchup. His price ($2,800 on FanDuel and $3,200 on DraftKings) hasn't shifted yet to reflect that, and Lamb has been smoking the ball this year. He has a 36.4% hard-hit rate against righties while only striking out 13.6% of the time. You're not going to find many values better than him on the slate, so I'd start there when formulating your stack.
