4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 4/22/16

Mark Reynolds is playing at Coors with a great matchup tonight. Who else should you target for big time fantasy value?

Building daily fantasy baseball lineups can be intimidating. On any given slate, you have a massive number of options in front of you and a ton of factors to consider.

We're here to help take some of that burden off and break down some hitters who you can slot into your lineup for nice and cheap, while still being well-positioned to provide your lineup with solid fantasy production.

Let's take a look at where we can find value on today's slate.

Wellington Castillo, C, Arizona Diamondbacks

FanDuel Price: $2,900

The Diamondbacks are at home tonight at the hitter-friendly Chase Field, and taking on lefty Jon Niese.

Niese tends to struggle against right-handed hitters, having allowed a career .327 wOBA. Welington Castillo is the first of two low-priced Arizona righties I'm targeting tonight. He has hit for a career .357 wOBA and .186 ISO against lefties, and the Diamondbacks have the highest implied total outside of the two Coors teams tonight, positioning him well for a big game.

Evan Gattis, C, Houston Astros

FanDuel Price: $2,400

Evan Gattis remains criminally under-priced on FanDuel as he makes his return from injury.

He hasn't found his groove to start this season yet, but his career numbers give plenty of room for optimism, even against right-handed pitching, where he has posted a .328 wOBA and .227 ISO.

Steven Wright will be pitching to Gattis tonight, and while Wright performs slightly better against right-handed hitters, his numbers still aren't great, and he has allowed a .306 wOBA with a 4.23 xFIP.

Mark Reynolds, 1B, Colorado Rockies

FanDuel Price: $3,400

Mark Reynolds is a nice cheap way to get exposure to Coors Field today without paying up too much, but also without having to stomach a sub-par hitter.

The hitter-friendly Coors Field doesn't need an introduction, and Reynolds has hit lefties well over his career, with a .348 wOBA and .224 ISO, as well as a 43.3 percent fly-ball rate.

He's up against the left-handed Scott Kazmir tonight, who has allowed a career .328 wOBA to right-handed hitters, with a 4.30 xFIP and, especially worrying in Coors, a 44.5 percent fly-ball rate.

Yasmany Tomas, OF, Arizona Diamondbacks

FanDuel Price: $3,400

As I already touched on, the Diamondbacks have a solid implied total of 4.78 tonight as they take on the Pirates and lefty Jon Niese, who has some struggles against right-handed hitters.

Through his first 132 games in the majors, Yasmany Tomas has looked solid from the plate, especially against left-handed pitching. His .372 wOBA, .230 ISO and 36.4 percent hard-hit rate are incredibly promising, especially with a favorable matchup tonight, and batting in the heart of the order for one of the more well-positioned offenses of the night is a spot it's hard not to like him in.
