4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 4/14/16

Mitch Moreland is in for a big day against Chris Tillman and the Orioles. Who else should you target for big time fantasy value tonight?

Building daily fantasy baseball lineups can be intimidating. On any given slate, you have a massive number of options in front of you and a ton of factors to consider.

We're here to help take some of that burden off and break down some hitters who you can slot into your lineup for nice and cheap, while still being well-positioned to provide your lineup with solid fantasy production.

Let's take a look at where we can find value on today's slate.

Rougned Odor, 2B, Texas Rangers

FanDuel Price: $3,000

The Rangers are taking on Chris Tillman and the Baltimore Orioles tonight, and have the highest implied total on the slate. Tillman has a career 4.38 SIERA with a 17.6 percent strikeout rate and 8.4 percent walk rate, and allows 1.21 home runs per nine -- the highest among today's starters.

Rougned Odor has hit righties fairly well through his first couple of years in the Majors, with a .320 wOBA and .189 ISO. Hitting at the hitter-friendly Globe Life Park, with a high ISO and against a pitcher that tends to give up home runs, Odor offers nice upside tonight.

Mitch Moreland, OF, Texas Rangers

FanDuel Price: $2,700

Mitch Moreland is another solid, cheap way to target Tillman and the Orioles.

He's off to an unexciting start this season, but he's coming off of a 2015 season that was one of the best of his career. He's hit a career .340 wOBA and .200 ISO against right-handed pitchers, and with Tillman being one of the weaker starters on the slate, that's especially encouraging.

Just like Odor, his batting splits and pitcher matchup combined with having the highest implied total of the night and playing at Globe Life put him in an excellent spot to post big numbers.

Michael Saunders, OF, Toronto Blue Jays

FanDuel Price: $2,900

Michael Saunders doesn't have the most inspiring numbers of today's batters, with a career .309 wOBA and .158 ISO against right-handed pitching, but a favorable matchup has him in play tonight.

He's at home in the Rogers Center, one of the better hitters parks in the league, is likely to be hitting sixth for a Blue Jays team that has the second highest implied total of the night, and is taking on Yankees' starter Nathan Eovaldi, who has been fairly poor against left-handed hitters through his career, allowing a .341 wOBA and posting a 15.5 percent strikeout rate.

Preston Tucker, OF, Houston Astros

FanDuel Price: $2,500

It's hard to ask for a more well-positioned hitter with a sub-$3,000 price tag than Preston Tucker tonight.

Tucker will be hitting at home in one of the top-10 most hitter-friendly parks in the league with the Astros having one of the higher implied total of the night. And he's up against Ian Kennedy, who has allowed a career .322 wOBA to lefties and 1.12 home runs per nine.

In addition to all of those external factors, Tucker has crushed right-handed pitchers through his short career so far, with a .356 wOBA and .255 ISO. He's in a tremendous spot today, and at $2,500 he's an absolute steal.
