4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 9/16/19

The Oakland Athletics have a fantastic matchup on Monday against a struggling Glenn Sparkman.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Premium members can use our stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. You can also check out our hitting heat map, which provides an illustration of which offenses have the best combination of matchup and potency.

Now, let's get to the stacks. As usual, we will not include today's game at Coors Field in these recommendations. You already know that you want bats at Coors when you can afford them, and you don't need us to tell you. Here are the other teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.

Oakland Athletics

The Oakland Athletics have a fantastic matchup against the terrible Glenn Sparkman of the Kansas City Royals. There is so much to attack for Sparkman, which makes the Athletics an elite play this evening.

Sparkman has a 5.57 SIERA that's the second-worst mark on the slate. In addition, while he has just a 6.5 percent walk rate, his horrific 13.3 percent strikeout rate is also the second-worst on the slate. Sparkman has also given up a 40.0 percent hard-hit rate and a 39.5 percent fly-ball rate, which has resulted in a 16.6 percent home-run-to-fly-ball rate. Furthermore, he's given up a 23.6 percent line-drive rate.

Statcast doesn't like Sparkman, either, as he's given up a 90.4 MPH average exit velocity and a 195-foot average batted-ball distance — both of which are terrible.

The number one hitter to focus your attention on tonight is Matt Olson ($3,700) as he has dominated right-handed pitching this season. He has put up an elite .397 wOBA and .296 ISO against righties, which is fantastic. In addition, Statcast is nice to him, too, as he has a 9.3 percent barrels per plate appearance (20th), 92.1 MPH average exit velocity (21st) and a 203-foot average batted-ball distance (34th).

A trio of righties are next on the list, starting with Mark Canha ($3,100), who has managed to put up a .397 wOBA and .249 ISO in same-sided matchups. In the same split, Marcus Semien ($3,900) has put up a .367 wOBA and .238 ISO, while Matt Chapman ($3,400) has a .354 wOBA and .248 ISO.

To round out your Athletics stack, you can also consider Robbie Grossman ($2,400), Jurickson Profar ($2,800) and Khris Davis ($3,200).
